Wilderness Camp Experience

Apex Camps is proud to launch a brand new Wilderness Camp Experience for your next School Camp!

Why a Wilderness Camp Experience?
A wilderness camp provides a really unique opportunity for students to step outside of their comfort zones and actively participate in the camp experience. From setting up tents to helping to prepare meals and daily cleaning responsibilities, students learn the true value of teamwork while also building their own confidence in their interdependence.

Key Objectives:

  • Provide students with the unique opportunity to discover important connections between themselves, their peers and nature.
  • Positively affect every student’s social and personal development and confidence.
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment with opportunities for students to test their own limits.
  • Provide an environment whereby students can develop trust and respect for each other.

To achieve these objectives, the students are faced with challenges whereby they need to be proactive, resourceful, apply problem-solving skills and display initiative.

A Wilderness Camp Experience is guaranteed to provide the students with memories and skills that will last a life time.

Location:
Greenup is located just 17km north-east of Inglewood and approximately a 3 hour drive from Brisbane. The Camp features a large kitchen and dining area, hot showers and flushing toilets as well as the magnificent Omanama Hall, a peaceful bush chapel and a full size cricket oval. We have many bush tracks and we are a short walk to the creek which is a feeder into the beautiful Lake Coolmunda. Lake Coolmunda offers excellent fishing, and being "in the bush" offers a unique tranquillity.

The food is nutritional, well-balance and plentiful to meet those big adventurous appetites.
